This Esso Gas Station on South Main St. was built in 1941 when the Ann Inn was removed. The Station was there until 1966, when it was torn down, and the site eventually became Town & Cate Parks. The Dockside restaurant, formerly the Railroad station, and Wolfeboro Bay are in the background. The gas station building was saved and moved to an area off Factory St., near the present Foss Field, and used as a warming hut for an outdoor town skating rink.
