Wolfeboro Historical Society Digital Archive Photograph Archive Fire and Town Services Goodwin Block Fire, 1899

A day after the fire of May 28, 1899, spectators arrive to view the damage. The Peavey Block on the right was the only building abutting the dockside area that was saved. Note the damage to the roof of the Bank Block on the left. Fortunately, only the roof was damaged and repairs began a few days later.
