This 1973 photo of Father John's Pub was donated by Mary Jane Alger, a frequent summer visitor. It was taken by her Grandfather, Ernest Wilbur Badger. The Pub was a popular family restaurant from 1972 to 1979 on Lehner Street, located immediately to the right of the large entrance to the parking lot leading to Foss Field. Named after a race horse, the notable ceiling was completely covered with yellow racetrack ticket stubs, apparently all losers gathered from trash bins. The early advertisements were "Come see our $100,000 ceiling". The building has had many changes and businesses since then.
