Lake Winnipesaukee view, taken from Dug Hill, in South Wolfeboro near the Alton Town Line, c. 1885. The distant island with two peaks is Rattlesnake Island. Toward the foreground is Big Barndoor Island extending to the left, Little Barndoor Island next to it, then Keniston Island and Melody Island. The Varney Islands are scattered on the left. This photo was used as a Christmas greetings card from Everett S. Albee, a jeweler and photographer, c. early 1900's.
