Old Home Day, c. 1900. Horse team pulling a model of the old "red brick schoolhouse" in front of Sheridan House (now site of Wolfeboro Marketplace). This schoolhouse had been built around 1840 when school districts were reorganized and was near Harmony Grove (the end of Grove St. in Wolfeboro Falls), then torn down in 1860 as the population increased and a new two room school was built. Spite wall at right separates the Durgin Building.
