Oscar York rebuilt this Stanley Steamer and found that the best and fastest fuel was pine cones. John Goodwin recalls one day in a thunderstorm, Oscar drove into the Goodwin Barn (N. Main St.) with sparks flying from the stack. John's father had a fit (the barn was filled with new hay) and pushed Oscar right back out into the storm.
