View from South Main Street in front of the Post Office to center of downtown. Buildings on the right are Bank Building, Black's Paper Store, Wool Corner and the tall Durgin Building. The left side, starting with the tall Avery Building, is similar today with one notable exception; the Gulf Gas Station, located at the site of the present Yum Yum Shop, was there from 1957 to 1977. The 4 cent stamp on the card, combined with the lack of a zip code, dates this to 1963.
