The Bank Building on South Main Street, between Railroad Avenue on the left and Central Avenue on the right, was built in 1856 and has seen many changes over time. The Lake National Bank occupied this building from 1865 until it relocated in 1890. The Wolfeboro National Bank was located here from its founding in 1906 until it relocated in 1963. The store on the left is Charles H Hersey's Grocery and General Store, which was there from 1865 to 1910. The balcony was added in 1907, dating this card to 1907-1910. The buildings down Railroad Avenue were known as Central Block and Goodwin Block (and a few other names) in history books, but those names are now generally forgotten. The small building on the left side of the Bank Building is now the popular Bailey's Bubble.
