Wolfeboro Historical Society Digital Archive Postcard Archive Camps

Allen "A" Camp, later called Allen "A" Resort, was a huge facility on Rt. 28, with as many as 50 cottages, 5 lodges, and the 1810 Inn. There was also a dining hall, theatre building and a dude ranch providing a complete meal and entertainment package. Begun in 1935, decline began in 1968 when the original owner died.
