Building of this elegant French style hotel began in 1872; the opening was in 1874, as the Glendon House with a 150 guest capacity. Purchased by Frank Hobbs in 1899, he renamed it Hobbs-Is-Inn. In 1909, the hotel was sold and renamed Hotel Elmwood. In 1935, the hotel was torn down and the new Wolfeboro Post Office was built on the site. Card is before 1905.
