Hobbs Landing at Dockside was owned by Frank Hobbs in the early 1900's. The area is the waterfront where Cate Park and the parking lot behind the Avery Building are today. Landfill in 1941 expanded the area. Hobbs allowed use by others, but cautioned that, in busy times, boaters should land only long enough for short errands or to drop off or pick up passengers. Card is c. 1907.
