Kimball's Castle on Belknap Point. This medieval style castle and several outbuildings was built in 1894 as the summer estate of railroad tycoon Benjamin Kimball. Built by Italian stonemasons using local granite and materials imported from Europe, its construction cost was about $50,000. Much of the property is in a conservation trust, with trails open to the public. The Castle and Innkeepers Cottage are privately owned, with the Cottage available for rent. Restoration of the deteriorated Castle has been planned, but has not yet occurred. Cards 7 thru 11 date to the 1910's.
