This view comes from a photo taken from either the roof of the old Wolfeborough-Tuftonborough Academy or the tower on Town Hall. looking west. The two houses in the center foreground are now the site of the supermarket and drugstore. The mansard-roofed building in the center is the Glendon House, later the Hotel Elmwood, then Hobbs-Is-Inn, now the site of of the Post Office. In left center is the cupola of the Durgin Block, which was later removed. Taller building on the left is the Lake Shore House, later the Ann Inn, which was razed in 1940 to become Town & Cate Park. Wolfeboro Bay is on the left. C. 1900.
