View from the roof of Hotel Elmwood, looking across Back Bay, then known as Front Bay, at the Clow Sawmill on the far side of the Bay. Logs in the foreground are waiting to be processed. A train car is on the tracks. In the background are the houses along North Main Street; the steeple on the left is the First Christian Church. The sawmill ran under the Clow name from 1898 to 1907. Postcard is stamped 1918. Interesting note - the stamp is two cents. the rate was increased during part of WWI and later returned to one cent.
